The creation of the world has been expressed in music by many composers. The most famous is Haydn’s oratorio The Creation, but smaller and larger instrumental works have also been composed on the theme. On this evening, János Pálúr, the organist of the Budapest Fasori Reformed Church, will base his performance on the more narrowly defined biblical story of creation, with his thoughts expressed through the organ. However, the piece is not a fully pre-composed work down to the last note; it is an improvisation. Thus, the final music will also depend on how the organ of the Eger Basilica and the atmosphere of the moment inspire the organist. It is creation itself - literally. Be there when it is born!
