Yuang Fan began learning the piano at the age of six. In 2020, he enrolled in the Affiliated High School of the Central Conservatory of Music and studied under Professor Ying Wu. In 2023, he was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music with excellent grades and is currently studying under Professor Jianing Kong.

Awards and Achievements:

• First Prize in the 2014 Changjiang Cup Piano Competition (Beijing Division)
• Second Prize in the 2014 Zhongyin Cup National Youth Piano Competition
• Third Prize in the 2015 Asian Cup Piano Competition
• Gold Medal in the 18th Oxford Music Festival Piano Competition (April 2016), receiving unanimous praise from the festival’s Artistic Director, Mario
• First Prize in the 2016 Hope Cup Piano Competition
• In August 2016, successfully performed Mozart concertos at the Beijing Concert Hall with conductors Hu Yongyan and Jiao Yang
• Third Place in the Junior Division of the 2016 Xinghai Cup Piano Competition National Finals
• From June to September 2018, successfully presented 16 solo performances of Magic Piano and Chopin Short Films across 13 provinces and cities throughout China, earning enthusiastic acclaim from audiences
• Gold Medal in the Professional Division of the Gulangyu International Piano Competition (October 2023); subsequently performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra and received high praise from renowned musicians both in China and abroad
• First Prize in the 2024 Central Conservatory of Music College Cup Competition; performed Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra
• Advanced to the semi-finals of the 5th Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competition and reached the quarter-finals of the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition (2025)
